Abbie's Helping Hands Goes Multi-State!

Over the Labor Day weekend I got to go to Nashville, Kentucky to help and visit at the Kentucky/Tennessee National American Miss Pageant. I figured what better time to expand AHH some more to another STATE and even better get to spread the word about AHH and share something that is so special to me with people who I like being around and who understand how important community service is!

So, over the very hot (ha ha) weekend, I brought my little pile of fleece with me everywhere I could and SO MANY PEOPLE helped to make a blanket!!! I made it red, white, and blue because of the holiday and because the pageant theme was patriotic. I walked around with it, sometimes I made a little stand out of a table in the lobby, and I got to tell so many people about AHH.

At the end of the weekend, we took the blanket to the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Center which was super close to where the pageant was held (which was a bonus since we had a 5 hour drive home). They appreciated it very much and I told them how much love went into it. I was very proud of all the state finalists and all my NAM sisters for helping and I appreciate them so much.

Here are even more pictures!
