Prudential Spirit Of Community Medal!

I am very proud to have received my Prudential Spirit of Community Award Medal. Even though we were not able to be awarded the medals in person, It was still very special to receive it and finally get to hold it in my hand! While the primary project I used to apply for the Award was my work on my positive self image program called Self-ValYOU: Promoting Positive Personal Imagery, I still got to share about Abbie's Helping Hands during our awards weekend and when they asked Award recipients to share about what they did during the Covid-19 crisis to still give back to their communities. I shared how I learned that lots of teen girls got cut off from access to feminine care products with schools going to virtual only learning, since they may not be able to afford those products at home. So I started collecting donations of those products and making feminine hygiene kits in addition to my usual blessing bags.
