Covid-19 Opportunity To Help

Our whole world is different now because of Covid-19 and I have been using a lot of my time at home in quarantine using up the supplies I have for making as many blankets as possible and blessing bags. But because of Covid I started a new kind of blessing bag. A friend of mine who lives in Moberly told me that girls in her community were having a problem because of the school closures. No school meant no access to their school nurses who would supply them with things they need when they are menstruating if they didn't have the money or access to those things on their own.

So, I was VERY excited to hear this because I had a big bag of brand new cosmetic bags from an Ipsy subscription I used to have that I had not needed and was going to donate anyway and they were the PERFECT thing to use to make these kinds of kits. I went with my mom to the store and bought pads and tampons and wipes and other things and was able to make 24 kits!!

Ispy even noticed on their Instagram account and told me it was a great idea!

I have heard from so many people since then who have lots of these bags left over too and they are going to donate them to me so we can start making this a permanent part of what we donate! It will be great for women's shelters and other teen youth girl programs.
